I’ll be speaking at the Emerging Leader’s Summit next month and I’m going to talk about networking. I’m really looking forward to it, actually.
You know, networking is a skill that everyone can learn and put to use, and when you get it right it can enrich your life, expand your social circle and even land you a job!
But, and this is a ‘watch your but’ moment, there's a big difference between good and bad networking. How do you know you’re doing it correctly? How do you get past those negative connotations some people hold about it? Is there a difference between networking and just making friends?
My colleague Sue Gold will also be too, and she'll be talking about and hopefully, demystifying mentoring. We know that people are more likely to succeed if they have mentor. But what is it and how does it work? How do you know it’s working for you?
Do join us for a great weekend talking about all things leadership.
